The Journey Toward Helping Churches & the Nehemiahs
Growing Businesses. We were founded by David Velie, a faith-based entrepreneur, turnaround specialist, and accelerated-growth advisor. He has spent his career leading successful turnarounds and developing leaders to grow their businesses. Prior to advising churches, he co-founded AMEND Consulting, a Cincinnati-based management consulting firm serving Fortune 1000 companies, specializing in business transformation through business intelligence and data analytics, operational improvement, and executional excellence. In 2019, he launched AMEND Ventures, an organization that acquires and sells high-potential businesses and advises business owners on scaling, exiting, or both.

Our passion for people and leadership comes from our faith and lifelong commitment to God. David grew up in a pastor’s home, so he has seen firsthand what it takes to lead a church and help that church reach its full potential. He has always believed that success is about more than the bottom line — it is about building a culture of trust and excellence that empowers individuals to achieve more than they thought possible. This is the mindset that he has brought to business, and it is our approach to helping church leaders pursue the vision they have been given.
